WHO ARE WE?
Our small Church has been in Mornington since 1987, not only as a place of worship and nurture for our congregation, but also as a place of service to our local neighbourhoods. We are a friendly, down-to-earth community, who welcome ALL people with open hearts & minds.
We own three buildings in the surrounds of the Wilsons Road shopping precinct: Our Community Op Shop in the precinct itself, our Community Church on the corner of Wilsons Road & Pitt Street, and our Community House just around the corner at 18 Pitt Street. Each of these properties serves the needs of our congregation, but they also serve a number of groups in our community who utilize them for their particular activities. Our Regular Activities
Our Church building at 84 Wilsons Road is utilised by our congregation and groups from the neighbourhood at various times throughout the week.
On Monday and Friday mornings, a group who practise The Feldenkrais Method (which facilitates learning through lessons that explore movement, posture & breathing) meet at The Church.
On Tuesday mornings during school terms, our Music Seed program for parents & their pre-school children (ages 0-5) meet at The Church. You are welcome to register by clicking on this Music Seed link for more details and a registration form.
On Wednesday mornings, our Women’s Shed meets at The Church for a variety of activities, crafts, morning tea, & occasional guest speaker. If you are interested in exploring if this is a group that might suit you, please feel free to attend without obligation. The group starts at 9:45 am & finishes about 11:30 am.
On the first & second Wednesday of each month, our Male Out Men’s Luncheon is held at The House from 11:30 am until about 1:30 pm. Cost: $7. All men welcome!
Our ladies meet on the second & fourth Thursday of each month at The House for Cuppa ‘n Chat, 10 am. All ladies welcome!
Of course, everyone is welcome to join us for our regular Sunday Community Breakfasts at The House, 9 am & our Sunday Worship Gatherings at The Church, 10 am, followed by morning tea.
