The Op Shop

The Op Shop at 90 Wilsons Road is run entirely by volunteers from our Church and the broader community.  Each day of the week has its own team, with a leader from our Church who also belongs to an Operations Committee, which meets each month to oversee the day-to-day affairs of the shop.  The Committee has autonomy to deal with operational matters but is ultimately responsible to the Church Leadership Team.

The Shop exists to fulfil a six-fold purpose:

1. To provide affordable clothing/goods to our neighbourhoods
2. To provide financial support as required for the operation of our Church
3. To provide an opportunity for community connection and service
4. To direct profits to the support the growth and building expansions of the church
5. To provide a tangible presence for our Church in Mornington
6. To provide funds for community projects and disaster relief ($6,000 is always available in a designated account for immediate distribution whenever a major disaster occurs)
